First French Army

Organisation

There are four corps in the army:

1^st Old Guard corps

3^rd French corps

4^th French corps

13^th Polish corps

1^st corps is by far the best of the four

One class A infantry brigade and three class B

Cavalry are class A and artillery are class B with 12 pounders

3^rd, 4^th and 13^th corps all have the same organisation

Two class B infantry brigades and two class C

Two heavy and one light cavalry brigades, all class B

All artillery are class B and 9 pounders

Command

CinC is a gifted commander

1^st and 3^rd corps are average commanders

4^th and 13^th corps are poor commanders

The better the commander the more command points

A Poor commander has less command points

Strengths

1^st corps is stronger than any of the Prussian corps

The other three are slightly weaker than any of the enemy corps

Campaign Objective

The French must capture the town of Salzwedel and defeat the Prussian Army

They have the initiative and the campaign will start when they advance
