First French Army
Organisation
There are
four corps in the army:
1st
Old Guard corps
3rd
French corps
4th
French corps
13th
Polish corps
1st
corps is by far the best of the four
One class A
infantry brigade and three class B
Cavalry are
class A and artillery are class B with 12 pounders
3rd,
4th and 13th corps all have the same organisation
Two class B
infantry brigades and two class C
Two heavy
and one light cavalry brigades, all class B
All
artillery are class B and 9 pounders
Command
CinC is a
gifted commander
1st
and 3rd corps are average commanders
4th
and 13th corps are poor commanders
The better
the commander the more command points
A Poor
commander has less command points
Strengths
1st
corps is stronger than any of the Prussian corps
The other
three are slightly weaker than any of the enemy corps
Campaign Objective
The French
must capture the town of Salzwedel and defeat the Prussian Army
They have
the initiative and the campaign will start when they advance
I am looking forward to seeing what the Prussian Army looks like.

Hi Bob
ReplyDeleteThe strengths and weakeness of the different grades of morale, melee and firing grades have a great influence on the game. But they are difficult to explain in a short blog. Hope that it is making some sort of sense.
Prussians to follow shortly

Paul
