At Eylau they beat off Russian grenadiers, but it was by no means a certainty!James Fisherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17897755636246185173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-97754405909576170.post-16267992852012382272014-11-03T03:36:32.100+01:002014-11-03T03:36:32.100+01:00I have two second hand Old Guard units in 15mm Ess...I have two second hand Old Guard units in 15mm Essex, Some guys in blue greatcoats that double as Young Guard (also Essex) and some Middle Guard Old Glory figures that are still in their undercoat.

Interesting question how often they get used. Close to never for the Old Guard and frequently for the blue greatcoats, but rarely as guard. Not sure why that is. I normally play historical games and while the Guard is often featured, it hasn't been my figures taking the field. That might change.

Sun of Yorkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07315805432481558574noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-97754405909576170.post-19482136712472391362014-11-02T20:02:51.658+01:002014-11-02T20:02:51.658+01:00True, there can't be many Napoleonic wargame a...True, there can't be many Napoleonic wargame armies without at least one French Old Guard unitthistlebarrowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00077298970769942656noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-97754405909576170.post-11705892783753649152014-11-02T09:50:25.235+01:002014-11-02T09:50:25.235+01:00There's just that something about the French G...There's just that something about the French Guard!Ray Rousellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07352596392520905197noreply@blogger.com
